Paper in hand

Tomorrow night you will turn in your 10 point extra credit papers to me as you come into class, before class starts. I won't be taking them up at all after this. I found the feedback on the papers from Monday night's students to be very candid and useful. I look forward to reading yours.

Mrs. White I just want to let you know that I appreciate you giving us this opportunity. I feel that even if it did not count as extra credit a lot of us would do it anyway. I love how you really take our thoughts in to consideration and it makes me feel like you are not just our teacher but our partner as well.

Your opinion is EXTREMELY important to me. It INFORMS my teaching. It tells me how to help YOU learn more effectively. It helps ME become a better educator. Without MY STUDENTS I could never become the teacher I want to be. YOU teach me when you participate in class, when you blog, when you complete assignments, when you demonstrate what you learn and when you honestly assess yourself and are willing to be transparent with me. You HONOR me when are most open and honest about your learning. I hope I honor you be doing my very best to prepare you to make a difference in the lives of the children you will teach in the future. They deserve our best.
