Online Learning - Dynamics of Communication

How did the dynamics of communication differ in our online class from when we meet face to face? What was different? Were they features of semantics, syntax or pragmatics?

Well, Mrs. White, what was obviously different in the online class was the lack of turn taking. That was wild! I believe that turn taking falls under pragmatics, so our use of pragmatics was different online than in the classroom. A not so obvious difference, was our use of syntax. Most of us were using "online grammar" instead of speaking to each other as we do in the classroom.
