I have chatted online before our Wednesday night class and experiences were about the same from our online class to my others. I didn't really have a different attitude towards our online chatting or IM experiences than the online class I thought that all the ones I have done has been hard to follow and keep up with what everyone is saying. I think this is because so many people are trying to talk at once and there really isn't much turn taking going on, so its a bit overwhelming.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the online chat class meeting, but I printed out the discussion and read through it. Although I have chatted online MANY times, it seemed that the chat may have been so confusing because there were so many people talking at once. Even just reading through the conversation after the fact was a little confusing for me to follow. I agree with you about the turn taking. It probably would have been easier to follow if a question had been asked and then everyone responded. Maybe next time we have an online chat, we could figure out a system that would be easier for everyone to keep up with! I still think it's a great idea though and convenient when the weather is bad!
I liked the online class, but I did find it hard to keep up with at times. I actually think that this is because my text box was so small that everything disappeared very quickly. If I scrolled up, I was afraid I would miss what was being said at the time. I did think it was fun to do something different though, it's nice to have a change once in a while!
